The backbone of Singapore is easily crippled.

Why? We all know that tourism plays a large part in Singapore's economy. Don't believe me? Take for example, the recent strike by the SIA pliots? Why did the Government give in to them? Because without them, Singapore's tourism would be totally crippled. And when that happens, the effect that it has on Singapore's economy would be terrible. Why would the tourism be crippled without the pliots? There's still the sea routes and land routes, no? There are still pliots from other countries, right? Their planes would still touch down in Singapore's Changi Airport, so why the worry? But the fact that the SIA earns millions every year, a dismissal of all the pliots in SIA would literally be the end of SIA. And the fact that SIA earns millions every year, and the government tax and all.. Well, you get my point.

Anyway, what if all the teachers in Singapore go on a strike? What would happen? What choice of action would the government choose? I know what you're thinking. Teachers are all over Singapore, not all teachers contact each other, the chances of having more than 75% of the teachers going on strike is impossible.. blah blah blah. But if you compare us with other countries, the possiblity of teachers in Singapore going on strike is relatively high. Very high. Look at the size difference. Our teachers are situated on a little red dot. While other countries are well.. You get my point. But the real question is, what would the Government do? Don't underestimate what teachers can do. You never know.

Then, the students, what if all the kids in Singapore decide that they have had enough of monsterous piles of homework, boring teachers and stress? And they decide to go on strike, how would the government respond. Afterall, "Singapore is mainly dependant on it's population". So without/with crippled future generations, what would Singapore be? Nothing. So how would the government respond? Give in? Confront strikes with violence? I wonder.

I should really instigate the Population of Singapore to go on strike. Would be fun particpating. Wonder how many people each jail cell can contain.
